If you are at risk for Alzheimer’s disease, you may be eligible for a clinical research study.
In Alzheimer’s disease, changes in the brain begin 10 to 20 years before symptoms of memory loss or changes in thinking appear. Those at risk may prequalify for a clinical research study for the prevention of Alzheimer’s disease.

You may not know you have Alzheimer’s disease until you develop symptoms. There are several early signs and symptoms of the disease such as forgetting important dates or having difficulty organizing a grocery list.2
The causes of Alzheimer’s disease are not yet fully understood. The risk factors most strongly linked to Alzheimer’s disease are advancing age, a family history of Alzheimer’s or another dementia, and conditions that raise risk for cardiovascular disease such as hypertension, obesity, diabetes, etc.
